Land Art Created With Colored Pebbles

The sound of the waves, the fine sand, the sun and the pebbles… all ingredients that promise a great time. Justin Bateman and his art make things even more beautiful. Using pebbles or stones found on the spot, he creates land art by reproducing figurative and sometimes classic works such as the Mona Lisa or the Young Girl with a Pearl. The arrangement of the pebbles according to their size and natural color gives his creations a strongly pictorial aspect. His works are all the more precious as they are ephemeral. They are indeed subject to weather and environmental variations. Justin Bateman’s work has been featured on the BBC as well as on local and international radio and news.
